The Training Curriculum

DAY ONE

Your Role as Matchmaker – from matchmaking goals to individual personalities, we decide the right niche for you and your business.
Human Psychology – Psychological profiling process for matchmakers, Detailed client profile form review, What is chemistry and what makes a good match
Pre-screening Techniques – for potential clients in person and over the phone.
Interviewing Techniques – profile forms reviewed and role-play exercise for information acquisition.
Matchmaking Business Models I & II – recruiting matches and building a database. Recruiting techniques and interviewing a client for matching.
Networking and Social Media for Matchmakers – maximize and expand your network through social media and the media.

Homework: There will be a special assignment for all students.

DAY TWO

How to Start Your Small Business – managing your business for success with a solid business plan.
Sales for Matchmakers – effective sales process from selling to different personality types to overcoming objections.
Marketing for Success – networking, events, and promotions to expand your database.
Prep for Matchmaking Business Models – present and review student business plans, including pricing structure and services. (State by state matchmaker service laws and sample contracts reviewed).
Pitching your Business – students will pitch their business by presenting their individual plan and 30 second pitch.

DAY THREE

The final day of training brings together new and experienced matchmakers for a unique opportunity to learn directly from some of the most experienced matchmakers in the world.

Industry Panel Discussion – this is the time to ask even the most intimate questions, voice challenges, concerns, and share ideas.
1:1 Mentoring Session with an established matchmaker, reviewing your niche, revenue model, and business plan with personalized feedback to ensure you apply what is already working to make your business the most successful it can be.
Matchmaking Institute Certification of Completion – promote your credentials on your resume to your clients, the press and any potential business partners, while also gaining a virtual seal for your website. Include our certification seal on all of your marketing materials. Give your clients peace of mind ensuring that you are part of a network of quality, educated, collaborative matchmakers.
