A Pool of Matches for Professional & Certified Matchmakers The Matchmakers Multiple Listing Service is a confidential singles database used by Professional & Certified Matchmakers worldwide to search for potential matches for their clients. When singles decide to list their profile on MMLS, they can be matched with one of the matchmakers’ clients. Many singles contact us daily, either looking to hire a matchmaker, or requesting to have their profile posted on MMLS. The MMLS concept is similar to the Real Estate MLS (multiple listing service). The real estate industry, as we know it today, has used this idea since the early 1970's. This gives you great exposure to a pool of matchmakers always searching for matches for their clients. All Professional & Certified Matchmakers who are a member of the Matchmakers Network have a private access to the Multiple Listing Service. This access is totally confidential and secured. Information is made available to matchmakers only. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . A Unique Referral System When singles contact the Institute, we can help them find a proper matchmaker in their area. Once they have been prescreened by one of our representatives, we usually refer them to one of our Matchmakers Network members. - Singles enter a brief profile and contact form on our website. - They either mention a budget if they're interested in hiring a matchmaker or, if they're not, just fill out a contact form to be placed in a pool of potential matches. - We then prescreen them, do backgrounds check, add a photo when available. - Once this is done, we decide which matchmaker they should be referred to. - If matchmakers accept the potential referral, they receive the single’s contact info - Matchmakers can also do a multiple criteria search within the MMLS database, and find potential matches by themselves. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . How we refer you to a matchmaker - We first determine the level of interest someone has who is contacting the Institute. We find out if the single has ever worked with a matchmaker before; how they’ve been meeting other singles (are they tired of online dating and the bar scene?) - We find out their budget: Do they have the resources needed to hire a matchmaker? - We discuss their expectations regarding working with a matchmaker: Do they have a clear idea of the services offered by a matchmaker and how to best work with a matchmaker? - We touch on past relationship history and further develop a preliminary profile: If they are indeed interested in pursuing a referral to a matchmaker, a deeper profile will be established to be shared with the referred matchmaker. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The referral process - We review all profiles internally on a weekly basis: we review all newly screened singles and discuss referral options. - We review singles’ budget, location and expectations, and discuss all relevant information to decide which matchmaker receives the referral. - We determine which matchmaker is the best fit: Consider each matchmaker’s niche market, location, style and fees. If all else is equal, referrals are given on a rotating basis. - We contact all selected matchmakers to discuss possible leads: we discuss all relevant information to determine if the matchmaker is comfortable with the referral and to make the introduction smooth and successful.  |
